Our Mission: Leveling the Playing Field
At The Saether-Jackson Foundation, we believe that geography should never be destiny. The world is currently divided by a "digital ceiling." In one half of the world, powerful technology is discarded by governments and corporations the moment it reaches an "End of Life" date. In the other half, brilliant minds are held back simply because they lack the tools to connect, learn, and grow.
We are the bridge between those two worlds.
The Second Lease on Life
We partner with forward-thinking governments and large-scale organizations to intercept high-quality hardware before it hits the landfill. Through our specialized "Flex" process, we breathe new life into these devices, transforming them into high-performance Google Education devices.
By stripping away the software bloat and installing a streamlined, cloud-based ecosystem, we give these laptops a second—and more meaningful—lease on life.
Why We Do It
A "first-world" education shouldn’t be a zip-code privilege. By removing financial and geographical boundaries, we ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has the right to become the best version of themselves.
We don’t just recycle hardware. We recycle hope.
Ricky Saether-Jackson
"We saw a world where 'End of Life' for a laptop meant the end of an opportunity for a child. By repurposing this technology, we aren't just protecting the planet; we are ensuring that a student’s potential is no longer defined by what they can afford, but by how hard they are willing to work."
Aron Saether-Jackson
"Access to knowledge should be a universal right, not a geographical lottery. We are taking the surplus of the first world and flexing it into a powerhouse for global education. We’re not just leveling the playing field—we’re making sure everyone finally has a chance to play."
